Aconcagua expedition formats

The correct Aconcagua format is determined by recent altitude evidence, available time and the support required by the group.

17 days: acclimatisation inside the programme

The standard format uses step-by-step acclimatisation and two reserve days. Previous altitude experience above 5,000 metres, preferably around 5,500 metres or higher, remains an important screening input rather than a summit guarantee.

12 days: recent acclimatisation is assumed

The shorter format is not intended for beginners. It assumes recent acclimatisation immediately before Aconcagua and contains less margin than the standard itinerary.

7-day Blitz: immediate pre-acclimatisation above 5,500 m

The Blitz format is considered only after acclimatisation above 5,500 metres immediately before the start. Without that evidence, the seven-day programme is not offered.

Private and higher-support formats

Private service can simplify dates, communication and staffing, but it cannot replace altitude adaptation. Current inclusions, leadership, local providers and price are confirmed for the specific group in writing.

Send your recent altitude history and target dates before requesting the shortest itinerary.
