Aconcagua Expert
Readiness review
A useful readiness review replaces vague claims such as “fit” or “experienced” with recent, dated evidence.
Prepare this information
- Highest altitude reached and date
- Highest altitude slept at and number of nights
- Symptoms, medication and recovery during recent trips
- Endurance training and load-carrying experience
- Available expedition window, including reserve days
- Any health question that requires a doctor’s advice
What the review can do
It can identify an obvious mismatch between the planned duration and recent altitude history, suggest a longer itinerary, or show that additional acclimatisation is required before the start.
What it cannot do
It cannot guarantee acclimatisation, replace medical clearance or promise a summit. Conditions and participant response remain uncertain.
