Aconcagua Expert

Aconcagua expedition formats

The correct Aconcagua format is determined by recent altitude evidence, available time and the support required by the group.

17 days: acclimatisation inside the programme

The standard programme uses step-by-step acclimatisation and two reserve days. Mountain Guide’s published requirement is previous altitude experience above 5,000 metres, preferably around 5,500 metres or higher. That experience remains a screening input, not a summit guarantee.

12 days: recent acclimatisation is assumed

The shorter format is not intended for beginners. It assumes recent acclimatisation immediately before the Aconcagua programme and contains less margin than the 17-day itinerary.

7-day Blitz: immediate pre-acclimatisation above 5,500 m

The Blitz format is only considered after acclimatisation above 5,500 metres immediately before the start. Without that evidence, Mountain Guide does not conduct the seven-day programme.

Private and Premium

Private and Premium are service formats, not shortcuts around altitude adaptation. Current inclusions, staffing, dates and price must be taken from the canonical Mountain Guide pages and written confirmation for the specific group.

Prices and dates are intentionally not duplicated here. See Mountain Guide’s current Aconcagua hub.
